It has a nice atmosphere for both during the day (looking out over the golf course) and night (Faerie lights all over). We sat outside, enjoying a sundowner, then deciding to stay outside even though the sun set and it was dark over the gholf course, because of a good crowd of other people sitting outside and it was a rather hot day that cooled off at night.

The chef came and explain some of the specialities of the day or his recommendations. We practically only ordered from that because of the way and enthusiasm he describe it with. However just a heads up he doesn't give the prices, so be sure to be paying high end (R250-R350) for mains.

We ordered the salad, which was incredible! My partner who works as a food scientist describe they use a special technique to form "orange juice bubbles" to put in your salad and then when you eat it it burst in your mouth. It also had a delicious blue cheese and some nuts and seeds in it.

For mains we ordered rib-eye steak and the lamb shoulder. Both very well made. A heads up that they are very flexible with your meal, you can literally ask for any side or sauce you want, so either ask them what options would be good or be prepared beforehand.

For dessert we ordered a cheese cake to share. It is small but with lots of fruits/berries on top.

We had a younger waiter later on taking care of our table. He didn't do much since we already ordered. They also forgot to bring our complimentary bread before our salad, but was quick to rectify their mistake. They however are quick and helpful for any assistance you need otherwise.

Hearing glowing reviews for this restaurant, I had great expectations when trying to book a holiday dinner for my family of ten. Unfortunately, it was short-lived, as I was treated horribly by an older gentleman who was very annoyed to service any of my booking questions. To be as polite as possible, I actually drove to this restaurant to make my few inquiries in person. I’m not sure what his issues were on this particular day (yesterday), but on two separate occasions, he spoke to me and my sister with such snark and annoyance that I’m very sorry to say, I’d never go back there again. I was so embarrassed in the tone and total lack of hospitality, that I really had to question myself and ask if I had done something wrong. Maybe I parked in the wrong space or something? It’s as if we were interrupting someone that was in the middle of their own dinner. No self-respecting host, manager, or owner would treat eager customers like this. That said, writing bad reviews for businesses that thrive on positive feedback is not something I take lightly.
