Roman's Pizza Faerie Glen — Restaurant in Gauteng

Great service and food.

Roman's Pizza at Old Farm road, is exactly what you expect from a good quality take way / takeout venue.

Delicious food prepared well. They also have vegetarian options.

You can call ahead for your order to be prepared in advance, but I personally like to order at the counter, and then wait (good time to catch up on some thinking and planning).

What I like about ROMANS is that you know what to expect, and that's why I come back (for my usual).

The venue itself is clean and organised, with good service. You will not be sorry for trying ROMANS for a quick bite, lunch and even a quick family dinner. There is a wide variety of menu choices and options. Just don't consider the Small Pizza... It is too small! :) My favorite is the pizza-pie (great price). I would order two per adult, and 1 to 1.5 per child.

They are positioned well, right between  Olympus and Faerie-Glen: Surrounded by many estates and other shops, near to Glen Village, Checkers Olympus Village, Atterbury Value Mart...

Due to their pre-order phone service, predictability and their friendly point of sale staff, I can definately rate ROMANS service 4/5 stars.

Try it. You will not be sorry. I recommend ROMANS to anyone looking for a good food take...

Will never order from them again. The most shocking service I have ever received from a take away. I order online and proceed to pay R35 for delivery. An hour and a half later the store phones me to tell me they can't deliver because it is out of their 5km radius even though the website says nothing about having to be within a 5km radius and besides that we are exactly 4.1km from the store. They tell me I have to collect which I am unable to do, thus the reason for paying for delivery . The lady tells me she will get the manager to phone me. 20 minutes later I phone the store, because the Manager still hasn't phoned me and he tells me again they will not deliver because of the radius. The Manager then says he will try and make a plan and call me back as there are no drivers there now. I tell him I will wait on the line as I don't believe they will call me back. I then listen to the manager talking to a driver and the driver proceeds to tell the manager I am a liar and we are more than 5km away...wow. After 10 minutes on the call the manager tells me they will deliver and that the pizza will be here in 20 minutes. Here I sit 2 hours later and no pizza. Wow...I will be telling this story to everyone I know. Will never deal with this business...

I've visited a number of times, generally been a good experience, but unfortunately tonight was different.

I ordered and paid online, but bever got any confirmation that my order had been received.

I arrived to collect, and fortunately the order did get placed, and was ready.

Sadly though, the 4 pizzas were badly undercooked. Much of the cheese on one of them hadn't even melted (this was a tangy russian pizza, and it had no onion on either, but that part is my fault, I didn't notice when I checked).

I phoned the store, and the manager immediately offered to replace my order and deliver it to me. I was impressed by the offer, but surprised when the manager asked me if she could make them thin base instead of pan. She said if they made them pan base again, the same problem would occur "because of the number of toppings". I ordered standard pizzas, no extra toppings, and I have never had any of them undercooked before.

I accepted the thin base offer, and awaited the driver. When he delivered, there were only 3 pizzas, when I had ordered 4. When I queried the manager, she said she thought it was only the pan bases that were under done (turns out I had ordered one of my originals with the thin base by mistake). But even that base was...
