Smack Pizza Co Green Valley — Restaurant in Gauteng

Establishment is 10/10 Warm and Welcoming staff & owner, the gentleman is very charismatic he will make you feel like VIP ,Atmosphere is Casual enough for you to come in and relax on your "lazy" day but nice enough to bring your date out to, and woo them by pretending to be a pizza expert and that your fine taste can only have pizza from Smack Pizza Co , Because they are the only ones who get it right. Establishment aside the Pizza is fantastic and that needs 1000+ more words to review, BUT the reason behind my review is because i want to pick a bone about the "New york" style pizza and rather inform you all that its closer to Neapolitan (dough,base) with americanized toppings. Good pie but its not a true New Yorker. my personal favourite is the Broadway, one bite everyone knows the rules, I give it a 7.5/10 ,Neapolitan just aint my thing hence i didnt give it the 8.5...

We made an online order while we were out running errands so we could just pay & pick up our food on the way home… we arrived at the store about 30-40 minutes after placing the order to pay and pickup but we were told that the order would only be processed (on our arrival) and that it would take up to another 40 minutes to prepare so In total we waited for over 1 hour for our food!! Yes, no meal is worth that long a wait! The staff were rather annoyed with us as we checked on our order multiple times (each time we were told that they were currently making our pizza) but clearly that was untrue… it seems that no sense of urgency was practiced considering that we were waiting that long! A nice joint to chill n grab a pizza and watch sports. We decided to try them when my tween daughter and i were looking for a place to grab a quick brunch on a hot day. We weren't in the mood for a normal restaurant nor getting fast food. We wanted something in the middle as we had limited time and this place was it, perfect. They have a great variety of pizza on the menu n also sell burgers ,ect. Their pizza's are really good, we enjoyed it. The base is well baked n the toppings are generous.
