Steers Engen Midrand Olympic — Restaurant in Gauteng

We purchased two online specials which included two Cheese Burgers and a large chips via the Steers app this evening for collection from Steers Engen Olymic in Midrand, only to find that upon arriving home that the burgers were 80% rare. I called the store and spoke to Marshaf who advised that I should bring the burgers back so he can show the staff the issue and then he would replace the order. This is really ridiculous as I live 7km away from the store and drove 14km in total to fetch my food. The impression Marshaf gave me was that I was looking for free food and said the best he can do is advise the staff of the issue and apologise on their behalf but could not replace my meal if I did not drive another 14km so that their incompetence could be observed. Great reflection of the brand and their belief in pathetic customer service, not to mention poor quality food. Well...

Food is up to standard. We get delivery to a business 10 minutes away. Generally have issues as it doesn't look like this branch is properly equipped for deliveries.

Waited 2 hours for our order before calling them back today. Got very upset that the guy that answered 3 times of the 4 times just dropped our call mid-sentence probably to serve walk-in customers.

After a song and dance with the manager they dispatched our order quite quickly calling it a misunderstanding, but the time on the slip tells us that the order was only processed 2 hours and 15 minutes after the first call.

Probably small issues that can be sorted out with some management, bad service however needs some proper attention. Manager was very personable and apologetic. Poor experience...

I have ordered from Steers Engen Garage many times happily. However, the last time I ordered, the bun was smashed flat and I had the worst case of food poisoning I've ever had. They did contact me back, just to ask for my details, which I supplied. No apology or concern. I won't order from them again - there are plenty of great Steers around that provide good food.
