Restaurant Review: Prince of Tarts – A Hidden Gem Worth Savoring Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5)

If you’re on the hunt for a cafe that serves not just food but an unforgettable experience, look no further than Prince of Tarts. This charming spot has mastered the art of creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere and pairing it with mouthwatering treats that linger in your memory long after the last bite.

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the heavenly aroma of freshly baked pastries and the friendly smiles of the staff. The decor strikes a perfect balance between cozy and sophisticated, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed morning coffee or a mid-afternoon indulgence.

Now, let’s talk about the food — the true star of the show. The selection of tarts is nothing short of spectacular. Each one is a masterpiece, with buttery, flaky crusts and fillings that explode with flavor. Whether you’re a fan of the classics like pecan pie or adventurous creations like brownie caramel, there’s something here to steal your heart. I couldn’t resist trying several, and not one of them disappointed.

Their savory options are just as impressive. I ordered a quiche that was perfection in every bite — creamy, rich, and generously filled with fresh ingredients. Pair it with a well-brewed cup of coffees and you’ve got a meal that feels as indulgent as it is wholesome.

The service is another standout feature. The staff are attentive, happy to offer recommendations and ensure your experience is flawless from start to finish.

Prince of Tarts isn’t just a cafe; it’s a celebration of flavors, textures, and hospitality. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and explore even more of their menu. Highly, highly recommend!

Final Verdict: A perfect 5/5. Prince of Tarts is a crown jewel in the...

Front of house and presentation full marks. The gals are both unique individuals, creative, smiles, and most welcoming. The gluten free bacon and leek quiche was out-of-this-world!! Without doubt, really, the best and tastiest I have ever had. Sometimes quiches can be like, you know - well these will change your mind big time. My coffee fantastic!, ...and so good I could have a 2nd. In fact, I thought about having a 2nd quiche - but I thought better 😆 When you find a great people, business and produce - you must rave!! Even the staff (behind the glass work area), waved and smiled. What a great vibe. The owner(s) must be nice, balanced people also, as this is reflected in your...

My family and I were on vacation in the Garden Route and visited the Wild Oats Community Farmers Market in Sedgefield. There I came across your stand and boy was I glad I did! I was like a kid in a toy store as I am a sucker for baked goods. We bought about six of almost everything you had to offer that day. Your pies were AMAZING! Your tarts were AMAZING! We honestly enjoyed every single bite. Your staff members were kind, friendly and very helpfull. You guys are just brilliant! We will only see you in December for another visit, unless you can courier some tarts to Gauteng hehe! Job well done. All the best...

My all time favorite bakery, now has a breakfast and lunch coffee shop attached to it. The coffee is always outstanding and today we ordered a Sunrise Breakfast with extra bacon. Everything was fresh, eggs cooked perfectly to order. On the way out I bought some mini Christmas cakes and ginger bread men. As a last thought 2 pastas de nata to eat en route. Everything is excellently baked and full of taste. Highly recommended, don’t drive through George without stopping here!
