We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. It was a great experience of the historical trains used in South Africa. There were information boards and photos, and well preserved and restored trains and related items. The displays are informative and the model train center gives a beautiful rendition of what the railroad system used to look like. There is even a restaurant on board one of the trains and many other trains which can be boarded. A tram route takes people around the area in one of the old trams too. The one shortfall of this museum is the absence of a tour guide. Someone who can take tours and give a more detailed description of what it was like (especially for blind people but really for anyone interested), someone who can answer questions and who is passionate about the trains - the one question I had, no one working on the floor could answer. They could also consider integrating video presentations of trains in the area into...
