RocoMamas Shelly Beach — Restaurant in Hibiscus Coast Local Municipality

My visit to Rocomamas this evening was a bit of a disappointment. We really enjoyed the hot wings and bigger bix cheese sticks. But my daughters ribs were over cooked and more burnt. We ordered the smoking bandit burger but the bacon 🥓 was burnt so badly. This is really disappointing. My waiter visibly touched my husbands chips just before serving us after serving multiple tables making him not even eat his chips as this is unhygienic. The freakshake although it looked amazing lacked chocolate flavor in the milkshake.

After having this bad experience I truly want to commend Mbuso on winning us over and trying so hard to ensure we truly get to experience Rocomamas in an unforgettable way. Your passion for food and customers is mind blowing. The meal that your prepared for us was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. I can confidently say we will surely return to Rocomamas if this is the experience we will receive in future. Definitely getting fed up with the competency of Roccomamas' employees. This is now the 4th out of 5 times that something hasn't come with what we've ordered. We normally order online and then collect, only to get home and then find one thing or the other missing, the one time our order was actually complete and correct was when we were there for collection and our order wasn't packed yet. So they were packing the order in front of me and then I had to tell them exactly what was supposed to be in there, am I the employee or am I the customer?

I once gave them the benefit of the doubt by saying they were new in town and trying to get the hang of things, but it's been almost 6 months of operation per my recollection. The place was practically empty tonight, so how was some of our order missing? It might have just been a small order to you that you may have forgotten, but you are an extremely expensive establishment, Roccomamas.

I've eaten at RocoMamas Durban before and was very excited that it's now opened up in Shelly Beach. My wife and I decided to head back as we enjoyed the food before. The place was packed at the time that we went ìn, so we decided to wait a bit before heading in.

Once we had our seats, the atmosphere was ok. However, flies were buzzing all over, and customers were attempting to chase them away while eating.

Unfortunately for us, the system had a "glitch," and our food was delayed, and so were others. The wings I ordered were so cold it was as if it was in the fridge, and the ribs were cold 15 minutes after I received my food; my wife received hers.

Our extra fried came last which, I had to remind the waiter, one would have thought it would have come first.
