Debonairs Pizza Umgeni Business Park — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

I placed two orders within the space of 4 days and received the same terrible service. Both orders were listed as delivered on the website, when they were not. Both times I called the store after an hour of waiting, just for them to tell me that the driver just left and will be on the way. About 20 minutes before this, I received a call from the respective drivers, indicating that they are on the way and will arrive by me within 10 - 15 minutes. After another 30 minutes of waiting, I called the store again, only for someone else to answer and tell me that the driver had just left...again. I asked for the driver's number, only to be told that the driver's do not carry their phones (if this is true, how did I receive calls from the drivers whilst they were already on the road?).

It is now 2 hours, and I still have not received my food. The store has terrible service and terrible management, and take no accountability for their lack of basic services. On top of that, the delivery system is abysmal. The drivers are constantly lost, constantly listing orders as "Delivered" when they are not, and cannot speak or understand English well.

I was asked by a driver to meet him somewhere because he was lost. I am a reasonable person so I asked where, only to find out that he is further away from me than I am to the store.

I dont usually write reviews because there is never an improvement or compensation no matter how much u can complain So i placed an online order via the app while home alone I placed my order and received a gift from MTN yellowbucks with a debonairs voucher I used that in my purchase and set card on delivery as payment The lady called me and stated that they dont deliver to my area , i was angry but i agreed N.B. the restaurant is literally 5 mins away. I then asked if my voucher would be forfeited and she said no, they will deliver the cash to me This was very considerate but quite senseless I asked her why she doesnt just deliver the pizza instead since you are already coming here She kept on repeating that they dont deliver to me as i stay in a dangerous area [ Newlands Peters road side ] I then tried to make sense of the situation where they can just deliver the pizza instead of the money as either way they are coming to my home

.... PLEASE Debonairs.... atleast hire learned and sensible staff and not idiots who dont understand common logic

Annoyed customer who always buys from...

Umgeni road branch- took my pregnant wife to buy pizza she was craving...after following covid protocols and ordering the meal we waiting outside like everyone else. There was a guy seated outside the shop who had also ordered food, once he got his meal I told my wife to sit because she is pregnant and it was already around 10min that we waited...the manager from the store comes outside because my wife sat and insisted that she is not allowed to sit because of covid. He then decided to take money out from the till and give us and told us we are not wanted if we cannot take instructions without my consent infront of other customers which was embarrassing. The manager did not have his mask on certain times when we were being chased. It incurred me extra cost to go to another debonairs but at that time my wife decided that she did not want to eat pizza anymore. As a business owner every customer is important but it seems certain individuals would push their weight around for no reason. Will never go back and would always post my incident so others can be told of...
