Jolly Grubber — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

This place was awful unfortunately. We ordered our meals, a sandwich included... hungry and looking forward to our meal, our food arrived late. The staff did not find it necessary or lacked the common courtesy of informing us that food will take over 30 mins rather than the normal 15/20mins. That was still okay because all restaurants get busy... our food arrived and the sandwich we paid between R45/R55 should not be served by any restaurant, especially at that price. The manager said the fillings are prepacked and I'll have to order a topping. When I asked her how much the topping was she said she can't add a topping on the sandwich. The service was disgusting and that alone made the entire experience miserable ... the staff behaved as if they were doing us a favour by doing their job... as a restaurant I can understand that things get really busy at times but to behave in such a despicable manner to people who are coming to eat at your shop is so sad. This place is here only to make money, they clearly do not care about their clients and the products they send out the kitchen. I recently visited Jolly Grubber and overall, my experience was pleasant. The service was prompt and efficient, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and inviting. The staff were friendly and accommodating, which made for a comfortable experience.

However, I must say that I was disappointed with the quality of the pizza that I ordered. I opted for a chicken and mushroom pizza, and while the toppings were tasty and well-portioned, the pizza base itself was not up to par. The base tasted like it was homemade, but unfortunately, it was overly dense and had an excessive amount of flour or some other ingredient that made it unappetizing. I was disappointed with the quality of the pizza base and it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Despite this flaw, I appreciate the effort put into the toppings and the overall experience. But based on the poor quality of the pizza base, I don't think I will be ordering pizza from Jolly...

Will never eat here again. Absolutely dishonest offers . Bought the family meal chicken which the cashier claims was tikka and there is a sign that says it takes up to 45 minutes to prepare. To my surprise 10 minutes later the food arrives and it is grilled chicken was tikka sauce slapped on the top . The chicken was pre-prepared as it was not piping hot on the inside. Tasted nothing like tikka chicken . Terribly disappointed! The guy who ordered after me as well he received just the same and this was like 5 minutes after he placed his order. I have a sneaky feeling this was chicken from the previous day . I am appalled and disgusted by the quality of the food and also the dishonesty/ false advertising . Be cautious people, you should rather pay your extra money and go elsewhere ! The food here...
