Jukes Pizza Westville — Restaurant in KwaZulu-Natal

I live in the area (Point, Waterfront) and spend a lot of money supporting local business. This Sunday I tried Jukes Pizza in the area. I ordered two large pizzas (the John Wayne and the Frank Sinatra). When I got home saw what the pizzas looked like, I felt John Wayne had shot the pulled pork off his pizza and Frank Sinatra would have sung a very sad song as an ode to his namesake pizza. Where to start.......

Pros:

1. Service was friendly
2. Pizza bases were fairly thin (I wouldn't call them thin)
3. Pizzas were prepared quickly, but this was probably because they put very little on them and therefore had nothing to do

Cons:

1. The phone number didn't work, I eventually contacted another branch to get the number, 15 mins later I was able to order
2. I ordered 2 large pizzas and had to walk home with my dog in one hand whilst balancing four medium size boxes in the other. The reason being that, my two pizzas were cut into four halves. Apparently there were no large boxes
3. On opening the multiple boxes, first thing I noticed on the Frank Sinatra was the thinnest slices of avo I have ever seen on a pizza. One needed a micrometer to measure the thickness of the avo. I took a picture in case I ever tempted to order from here again. Bacon........ Still in Vegas with Frank Sinatra I guess, it certainly wasn't on my pizza
4. The John Wayne had almost no pulled pork, a smattering of pineapple just so they could say it was there

Verdict: 1/5 and I won't be back. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday night, but there...

1. on the website there is a Tuesday special for 3 medium pizzas for R189. When I called the day before to inform them I will be needing 4 specials (12 pizzas) for lunch the next day, the gentlemen that took my order informed me they would be R200 a special. I decided to proceed and he informed me that that they'd be able to make the order for me.

2. i am not sure if it is because I placed a large order quality but the pizzas were very dry and had very minimal cheese and toppings unlike the pictures posted online.

3. a part of what we ordered was X2 Elvis Presley pizzas. Both of them smelled off and had a very fishy smell where it was hard it believe it was now fish.

I am lecture and I placed the order for my students who wanted pizza which resulted in 2 of them not being able to eat what they paid for.

I would of hoped that me informing them the day before that I would be placing the order would ensure they had sufficient prep for the order as well as fresh prep.

Definitely wont be recommending Jules again as well as I will be informing my co-workers about my experience so that they dont waste...

Fantastic pizza outlet in Westville with a real buzz. In a pizzeria, you always want a simple menu, with a good variety of options, fun decor, a woodfired oven, and Jukes has got it all. While being there with a group of six, the only seated customers, there seemed to be no interest from the staff in engaging with us, apart from when we asked them to come and take our order, that was very disappointing.
