Die Opstal Eethuys — Restaurant in Madibeng Local Municipality

When my wife and I have friends from out of town visiting, we usually take them for lunch here when we do the Hartbeerpoort routes and it was always a very pleasant experience. On Sunday 30th April, we did it again to our embarrassment. The lady serving us clearly didn't want to be there. She didn't know what juices were available and after we ordered, the kitchen personnel had to come over to ask what we ordered. She also forgot to order still water for our guest. The personnel were quarreling constantly and there was a general unpleasant atmosphere. The restaurant was fairly busy but wasn't fully packed at the time. Our food order took more than half an hour to reach us. We were never asked if we wanted anything else nor was there checked if the food was in order. The waiter visited us 3 times only. I have a few very concerning issues... We sat at the table closest to the kitchen. The managers helping to dish the plates vaped in the kitchen. The wife and I saw people ordering roughly 20min after us and got their food before us and all I order was a Chicken wrap and my wife a baguette? Lastly, when the wrap arrived I was so confused on why it was not properly folded it looked like a square box? Only to found out my wrap was harder than a cracker due to it being so old...my wife's baguette was so hard she couldn't even cut of a piece of it with a sharp knife... I called my waiter and she was very considerate about the matter...the manager didn't even come to us and apologised offering to make us a new one, my food that the wife and I hardly touched was just sent back to the kitchen. My Family and I went for lunch on Tuesday 27 December. It was the most horrible experience. They only had 1 x waiter serving around 15 tables. He was running around like a headless chicken, missing orders and not attending to most customers. He took our order and I asked him to rather write it down, but he ensured me he knows what he is doing. He then forgot to order our food from the kitchen. About 10 min later another person came to check what we ordered, just to realize it was not ordered in the 1st place. When our food came, the bacon was raw on my sandwich.
