Jock Pub and Grill — Restaurant in Mbombela

We came for a fairly quick business drink and dinner with our Nelspruit team. We had some brandy specials and Windhoek Draughts. During the course of the evening, they announced a draw when you buy Heineken. I decided to enter this draw by buying 2 Heinekens. After some time, they announced the a winner, obviously being me. The waiter shouted my name repeatedly looking at me, as he knew my name after i gave him the ticket to enter. So i won a week entry into Inniebos. Fabulous! But, i went to the waiter to reitterate that im thankful for him calling my name out again as i didnt hear it. He then started saying i must give him a big tip for this. After eating our extremely well prepared steaks, such a beautiful tasting and very soft steak that was, we wanted to pay. Just as the waiter placed down the bill, he again tells, remember to pay me a large tip! Normally i dont mind tipping more if your work was outstanding, but for him to demand a higher tip was outragious. At that point i just left the men to pay the bill. But thanks to Jock for giving me entry to inniebos, i enjoyed it so much with my work colleagues. (From Pretoria, only made a trip to Nelspruit the week of inniebos) 1 star less...

Original Review 2022 Sunday I entered the door, and there was nobody to greet me, no covid protocol forms to be filled in. I waited to be seated, which never happened I eventually had to find myself a seat I waited 30 minutes and still had not received service even though people who came AFTER me were served first. I eventually got attention after flagging down one of the many waiters It took another 10 minutes for my drink to arrive. 🤮the service was extremely disappointing, to a point that we decided to leave after one drink

An excellent place to bring the kids and have a heck of a good cocktail. The only reason I refrained from giving a 5th star is due to how long one waits for your drinks. However it's good to see an establishment that puts money back into the play area *updated, they have put in a 3rd bar outside so hope that yields in improved service *Updated, its been about 6Month since that bottom bar, I went there with friends and they forgot my order and they simply did not come back when I asked them about it. Needless to say, I left after an hour.
