For the first time in eight months of traveling to Nelspruit for business, I finally discovered a lodge that feels like home—my second home. Francolin Lodge is not just a place to stay; it’s an experience.

The location is incredibly central, making it convenient for traveling in and out of Nelspruit and exploring the surrounding areas.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality. The reception staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist, creating an immediate sense of comfort—just like returning home after a long trip.

When I received the keys to my room, I expected a standard lodge experience. I couldn’t have been more wrong. The room was beyond my expectations—a beautifully designed open-plan bedroom with a breathtaking view and a private balcony. There was even a dedicated workspace, perfect for catching up on tasks. To my delight, the room extended upstairs to another bedroom, also with a desk and a view. It quickly became my mini-office, ideal for working in peace. The room also included a charming kitchenette, a thoughtfully stocked mini-bar, and midnight snacks—a true touch of luxury.

The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a spacious bathtub with a scenic view. Thoughtful details like bath salts and creamy soap bars added a spa-like touch. The shower was expansive and beautifully designed, making each morning feel like a retreat.

Breakfast at Francolin Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. The variety and quality were outstanding, with every dish packed with flavor and presented with care.

Francolin Lodge has set a new standard for me. From now on, it will be my go-to choice for every business trip to Nelspruit. An absolute gem...

The place was easy to reach from N4. The room we booked in had lot of space. The room had awsome shower and big bath. There is honesty bar in the room😀, but since nna kele coffee person i enjoyed lot of coffee and tea they had in the room. To this day i still can't explain how the bed was, it was not bad nor great,as we enjoyed our sleep. NB, Orange river room that we were booked in does not have door to bathroom. Breakfast was one of the best!!!! Orange resturant is breath taking, and serve delicious food and deserts. Their liver starter e sa nšhaletše inong. Pool area is beautiful and the pool is very clean, net shame me and swimming neh... There is enough parking in the area as we didnt struggle with parking for whole 5 days we were there..

After enjoying a magical valentines evening arranged at the lodge ended in a disappointing morning when we up discover we have been robbed of all valuable possessions including personal identification documents, bank cards etc while being asleep. We were accommodated in the top floor right at the gate where a security is stationed 24 hours. Perpetrators seemingly came through the balcony. The manager on duty together with the security could not settle our fears and give us the reassurance that our issue will receive top priority from the management of the lodge.
