Havana Nights — Restaurant in Plumstead

This venue has such a nice atmosphere and could potentially become a hangout however something needs to be done about the service one gets. I ordered a drink from a waiter from my table. I waited probably 45min and no-one brought my drink. I got up and went to the bar to find out what the hold up was. The waiter was nowhere to be found. I tried to get one of the other waiters to arrange for my drink. Please bear in mind it was extremely hot inside the venue so all I wanted was an ice cold drink. They were just interested in finding the waiter that served me. It did not matter at the time who served me as clearly my drink was not ordered. I stated that all I wanted was a drink. I eventually got to speak to the bar manager and reiterated that I would just like a drink, I was not interested in pointing fingers at who did not get my drink. I was told to hold on some more as she was helping other customers. I ended up waiting approx another 30min before I eventually got my drink. She had assisted other customers and had a glass of water.... I was patiently waiting for my first drink for the evening!!! The manager found it on a tray on the counter. I was not offered any assistance of taking the drink to my table and had to ask a waitress to help me to my table. There were 3 glasses... one glass had the soda, another ice and the other my drink. I suggest that they organise themselves better. Either hire more waiters. They shld allocate tables to certain waiters. Have different waiters to take the orders for food. Other patrons were also expressing their frustrations regarding the service you receive. I do want to mention that the last waitress was very helpful and efficient. Please take this as constructive criticism as I believe in letting you know how to improve your services directly than gossip in the background. A potential...

What a bad, first time experience. I don't now were to start. Firstly don't be fooled by their kindness/friendliness. Food I ordered i didn't receive what I paid for #platter look like it was enough to serve four persons ....paid R320.00 .BT what really catches my eye, was no one had any thing from the platter. But i was rushed on by Natasha that works there/says she is the manager but is the main culprit, 10minutes later to put my order in a take way parcel. Upon Receiving food on leaving for platter takeaway I received/Amount of food half of what I ordered. Literly a plate of food🤣 what a joke. See in the Attachment picture and you tell me.....Thats not it. Check your Bill before payment, Natasha has a thing of adding and tripling things on your bill charging you for the same meal purchased but ringing it up 0n two separate bills. Please be Aware of the Scam that is happening at Havana nights Plumstead /Cape town .This IS NOT THE First time People is experiencing this ......NOTE! I am taking this situation #taking advantage of customers and guest that are enjoying them self and having Drinks. Please take a good look at the picture attached I literly received 8 fried chips. I was met by a friendly doorman, well mannered and neatly dressed who showed me to the section where the least happens to pay an entry fee of R30 (not much) After I gained entry I came to understand that the place had 2 sections Section 1: Entry fee as mentioned wasn't too steep on the night of my visit. Non-smoking with a center bar serving all sorts Though the tenders can learn a thing or two about drinks presentation, they were friendly and quick. I found it odd that they presented the bill before serving, but I suppose this is a better way of ensuring they get a service fee. Dancing on well looked after floor next to a catering/VIP section for hosting private get-togethers Enough all round space for larger crowds makes movement more comfortable Section 2: No entry fee charged here Smoking section with a corner bar as one enters It would seem as if the more lively crowd hung out here though Different music is played with a seating area further down They would do well to reserve a small dance area here also Drinks served here seems less fancy but the service is of the same good quality Friendly staff all around

The toilets were kept in fair order, though there is no unisex rest rooms hence, I cannot account for the female toilets
