After a long trip, my friend, partner, and I decided to have lunch at Mugg & Bean. Being locals, we were looking forward to a relaxing meal, but unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfying.
My partner ordered the steak and wings platter, which included steak, fries, sauce, and wings. The first serving of the steak was extremely dry—it felt more like a steaklet rather than the fillet we were expecting. As for the wings, they looked dehydrated and simply dipped in sauce, not at all appetizing. The onion rings were drenched in oil, with the crumb coating falling apart.
When we raised our concerns with the waiter, the plate was taken back to the kitchen. However, the second attempt still featured the same dry steaklet. While it was softer this time, it still didn’t meet expectations. What was particularly disappointing is how the platter was presented—it seemed more like a collection of finger food rather than the hearty "meat plate" the menu promised.
I ordered a chicken schnitzel, which was another letdown. The crumb coating looked like it had been prepared ages ago, falling off the chicken entirely. The meat inside was dry, making the whole dish unpleasant.
For a place like Mugg & Bean, where value for money is usually expected, this experience fell far short. The food quality didn’t justify the price, and the service was just as disappointing. It made sense why, during our visit, we were the only customers seated while the nearby burger and pizza restaurants were bustling with patrons.
Overall, this experience left us deeply unimpressed. Mugg & Bean will need to step up both its food quality and service if it hopes to keep customers...
Read moreI visited Mug 'n Bean this past Sunday during midday, and my experience was incredibly disappointing. Despite being a new restaurant, the service I received was far from satisfactory.
I patiently waited for an hour for my food, only to find out that my order had not been placed by the waiter. This level of negligence and lack of attention to customers is completely unacceptable, especially for a new establishment. The fact that I had to inquire about my order myself is highly concerning and reflects a severe lack of professionalism among the staff.
The entire ordeal left me frustrated and dissatisfied. I expected much better service, especially considering the reputation of Mug 'n Bean. It's disheartening to see a new restaurant failing so miserably in providing basic customer service.
I sincerely hope that Mug 'n Bean takes this feedback seriously and makes significant improvements in their service quality. As a customer, I value my time and expect a certain standard of service, which was clearly lacking during my visit. I hope that future patrons do not have to endure such a...
Read moreOn the 4th November 2023 I came to Mugg n Bean for my son's 10th birthday celebration. We wanted to know if they would be able to sing a birthday song, the Manager said yes they will sing for him.
After we had our meals, we again requested the waiter if they are ready to sing, she said, No, to my surprise when we asked the Manager he agreed but then all of a sudden they said no. Instead they gave him a piece of cake.
It didn't sit well with me because I didn't know that later on they won't be singing for him hence the Manager gave us that promise. Otherwise we could have gone to another restaurant which could help us sing along for my boy's birthday. Fine
Another issue is the loud music from the restaurant close by which plays music. We asked the Manager from Mugg n Bean to ask the restaurant that is playing the music to lower the volume, he said, they tried several times to ask them to lower the music but they always refuse.
It is unpleasant to find yourself in a place where the music is loud and yet you are out to enjoy your nice time, which in our case we didn't enjoy our time at...
