I had a terrible experience at this restaurant, I had a play date with a friend after church on Sunday. The worst mistake was not making reservations prior, so I waited a good old 30 minutes outside waiting for a seat. Eventually I walked in , it looks appealing but I was very surprised when I was seated next to a vending machines that closed the entire view to the children's playing area. I was very disappointed with this seating arrangement especially since there were so many empty seating areas that were reserved. It was too noisy for me and there where too many people(children) in the restaurant and the play area didn't look big enough to cater for all the children present. I called the manage and requested another seating area because my friend had arrived and suggested we leave but I was not willing to drive down to Pappachinos, I suggested we should exercise patience. This was a bad decision, Our food came out an hour later and the waiter was very overwhelmed. He was serving a lot of tables and returned to check up on us after 15 minutes or more and we had to stand and go and look for him at some point, because we thought of leaving after we had already ordered. Management came out and stopped us from leaving when we were on our way to the door. My sons Pizza was not cooked thoroughly....he informed me he didn't want to finish it. I was already agitated at this point. I had not seen this friend of mind in a year and our experience at this restaurant was the worst ever. The waiter brought our plates after 10 minutes each(we couldn't even eat at the same time). So we were so hungry every time each plate came out we were nibbling at the other peoples plates. I ordered the buffallo wings and fries meal , it tasted like the meat had been stored for a whole year in the freezer...it was not fresh at all. When we finally tried to eat then Bumble bee came out and there was an audience around our table while we were trying to eat, this was annoying and we used saviets' to close our food because we felt uncomfortable. This was a terrible first impression and I would not recommend this noisy restaurant to anyone I love. This was like a kids party vibe on steroids.....Ag shame I felt sorry for the child minders, they were also overwhelmed. The children kept coming back to the table reporting where they got hurt because of the traffic in the play area. So yes this was very bad.....The Restaurant appeal score: 3/5 , The food 1/5 , Customer service 3/5, Overall experience 1/5. I would suggest that the owners monitor the number of children that can come in the restaurant especially month end. It was noisy and I think its because of the small play area that is very close to the outdoor...
Read moreThis was a new spot that is popping up in various places. Although it's bloody noisy, as yes it's more for families with kiddies, I really like the menu and the food offerings. They have a huge space. They could be up to 4 branches by now, and growing. This was the first time I tried them a while back.
I couldn't resist ordering the giggle juice (a deadly combo of gin, vodka, rum, southern comfort, triple sec, blue curacao, grenadine and lemonade) as it reminded me of another restaurant that sold a similar drink, and of course I loved the colours. Also had the Granadila Lemonade (Vodka, Granadila puree, lemon and lemonade)
To eat i had the Loco Nacho burger (crispy smoked pork belly, nachos cheese sauce, avo and salsa with a crumbed Jalapeño) and we also had the Big Blue (streaky bacon, creamy blue cheese sauce, caramelized onion and sliced avo).
We loved the food, the chips were made perfectly and just enough chip spice, the burgers were tasty, and it wasn't just because we were hungry it's genuinely good. We were too full to attempt dessert.
I feel sorry for parents aa each branch has a collection of small collectors cars and other items that kids mya want. So good luck trying not to purchase stuff. I would have easily bought me a mini car too but stayed strong. I also really, really wanted to try the candy floos machine. But I didn't want to eat the candy floss, and figured I cant just give it to a parent for their child incase they think i'm trying to poison them lol so I just watched the videos showing the patterns that can be made.
Our waiter Alfred was patient with us, he could see we were "hangry" and brought our food to us in good time 😀

Read moreA Disappointing Experience!!!
My recent visit to Blueberry Beacon Family Restaurant on July 27th was an unfortunate and upsetting experience. I had booked a table to celebrate my son's birthday, but from the moment I arrived, the service was far from satisfactory.
Upon arrival, I was informed that my booking had been reduced to a three-hour time slot, despite no prior communication regarding this change. When I questioned the staff member, Megan, about this unexpected alteration, she became defensive and dismissive, raising her voice and exhibiting a complete lack of customer service skills.
This unprofessional behavior continued when I requested to speak to the manager. Although the manager, Grant, was apologetic and allowed us to stay beyond the three-hour limit, the damage had already been done. Megan's subsequent interaction with my mother further emphasized the restaurant's disregard for customer satisfaction.
To add to the negative experience, the food quality was underwhelming. The food was just not fair for the price we paid, their so called peri peri wings were the worst, soggy wings drenched in this horrid sauce. The brioche buns were very stale- like rock hard, and the burger patty was inedible had to return it.
Overall, the combination of poor service, unacceptable behavior from staff, and subpar food has left a lasting negative impression. I cannot recommend Blueberry Beacon Family Restaurant based on this...
