Ballito Bunny Blueberry Square Shopping Centre — Restaurant in Roodepoort

Proper Indian food.Tastes like the food we had growing up. Not stingy with the meat and this is proper meat not C grade with fatty pieces etc.

Changing my review today aftercthe most disappointing food ever. My kids were over and we decided to go eat at Ballito bunny sewing that I had been having about the place for a while. We've been going in almost every week since I discovered the place and sometimes ar leas x3 a week. So today my kids are sick with the flu and their tastebuds not great,however my daughter kept saying the food didn't taste nice. After the hubby and I tasted the food we found it to be burnt,even found a few pieces of meat that was burnt. We returned the food. The other 2 bunnies that the kids ordered were also sent back with not even half eaten. Anyway we finished up and went to pay. I was still charged for the one bunny that we returned.I paid for everything else even though the food was bad.When I queried why I was being charged for the one we returned I was told that it was their policy not to refund and they would "see you right" the next time. So my question is, if that was your only money and you need to buy elsewhere then sorry for you. I certainly wouldn't want to go back there. Truly disappointed with the rude service from Joey. Called to confirm when meal will be ready and if available on Mr D. He gave time but it was still not available long thereafter. When called Joey again, he was rude and arrogant to the point of suggesting that there was something wrong with the phone ... he cut the call while I was still chatting and then refused to answer when I called back.

Just shows the lack of professionalism and disrespect from the restaurant ... maybe they think they are too good and established now so they can disrespect the people that support them and made them who they are.

Needless to say, I'll be telling others about this incident and how rude and disgusting Joey is ... and of course, this speaks of the restaurant as well.

Seems he doesn't want people to use Mr D and want them to come to the restaurant and cut off Mr D ... maybe Mr D should know about...

The place has a good atmosphere, staff are pretty friendly, the service is great. The samoosas were a good deal. They were filled nicely and tasted great with just the right amount of heat. They were also fried fresh. The dipping sauce was a great accompaniment. The toasted cheese was a great trip back to the past. Just like my mom made it when I was growing up. The spicy chips that it came with was really good. The specialty was not to my liking though. The lamb bunny was more a potato bunny with lamb as a filler. Maybe I caught you on an off day, or maybe that's your style of curry, but the texture of the gravy didn't really allow for it to be soaked up by the bread.
