Rockofellos — Restaurant in Rustenburg Local Municipality

On the 13th December myself and jeanene was there we ordered 2x 1kg steaks told the waiter how we wanted it she new straight away we want it on hot plate so we can cook it the way we like to have it. 23 December 2024 myself and jeanene took my brother and his wife who works in America. When we asked the waiter for 3x 1kg steaks we had to tell him we want the steaks on hot plate so we can cook it ourselves my brother was looking so forward to that. Just to found out the steaks were put on hot plate already cooked when I said that's not what I ordered some lady told me to keep quiet I asked the lady who she is she said she is the owner of rockofellos I told her my steaks are not what I ordered she said they are busy fixing the problem I watched the 3 x 1kg steaks Standing there already cooked not the way I wanted them they did not make new ones they took the same steaks that was already standing there for 8 minutes just to be put on to new hot plates chips were old and onion rings were soft the 2 waiters that know me from the 13th December new that it was not right what happened to me. The so called owner never once came back to the table to ask if everything was all good I saw her walk around few times but never came back to my table.

A year ago I rated this place a 5 star, today I am rating it 2 stars, mostly because of the quality of food that has deteriorated. I ordered the lamb curry (and oxtail for my partner) and if you know this dish you will know that it keeps changing, first the thickness, then the quality of meat, and now, it's just a pot of sinu and a tonne of salt. No quality control. The oxtail was also terrible. Hardly any taste. So the food I'd rate 1 star.

I raised the concern of the saltiness of the lamb curry with 2 floor managers, and in my mind the correct thing to do would offer a replacement or at least taste it. But non of this happened. They just said sorry and left me to eat and pay for my inedible overpriced lamb curry (later not even my dog ate it it was THAT bad). So managers I'd rate 1 star, service from waiter 3 stars.

The atmosphere is still good though. It has an amazing kids play area with staff that are there looking after the kids. 5 stars.

The first symptoms of a restaurant losing customers is the quality of food, I won't be going there again if I'm hungry. Because I know the kitchen has no quality control and the managers have no powers / interest to replace a meal that...

What a terrible experience my family had today, family came to visit from Pretoria, food took long, waited an hour for some items, last person was served when the others had finished eating. Food served cold, meat extremely tough and tasted like c grade beef from a street vendor, worst is the wooden boards that food is served was probably last cleaned a year ago, felt terrible and sticky from the dirt underneath, waitress could not be bothered about the poor quality, poor ervice and dirty items, hell even the steak knife given was so blunt it could not cut the poor quality steak. Worst off all, we have been loyal customers since they opened and have gone less and less as both the food and service deteriorated over time, but today was the last time, we could have bought raw meat from spar and cooked it on the hot exhaust of the car and it would have tasted better and would...
