Stook Koffie Roostery — Restaurant in Rustenburg Local Municipality

I was not at all impressed with Stook. First the plunger did not have enough coffee for the promised two cups. After discussing it with the waiter he said that he gave us cappuchino cups by mistake and thefore the coffee is not enough for the two cups. The waiter was not willing to provide more coffee (only if I purchase another plunger) and only filled the plunger again with hot water. Not the best cup of coffee I ever had. We had to wait more than an hour for the food to be served. After enquiring what is causing the delay, the waiter said that there is a problem with the machine where he registered our order. The manager, however, said that the waiter forgot to enter the order. When the breakfast was eventually served the potato rostes tasted like old oil. I could not eat it. The rest of the breakfast was also mediocre at best. After the meal the waiter offered us another cup of cofee on the house, that we declined. He was however not willing to deduct the original plunger from the bill. I would have expected a much beter customer oriented approach from the waiter as well as from the manager. I choose this place for our breakfast, well aware that they are not cheap at all, and hoping that the quality of their service and food would match the price. I would love to give five stars because I love this place and love the atmosphere but the service on fathersday was very disappointing. They say they close at 3pm on Sunday but they already had everything packed up and away at 2pm and even the bathrooms were locked. Why not say you close at 2pm then? The only two cubicles that were available inside was occupied by workers the whole time, ultimately given customers no space to use a bathroom at all. Waiter also blamed the kitchen but there was no pepper sauce for the steaks so she brought salad dressing instead and didn't inform the customers that it wasn't pepper sauce. They complained and she brought prego sauce and again didn't inform them that it wasn't pepper sauce but prego sauce and customer didn't like food that burns. Poor service both times we came here. December 2020 & April 2022.Waited an hour for our food. What we ordered wasn't available so the chef decided we can have chips instead, without notifying us or recommending other alternatives. When they finally served us, the chips were still hot but the meat was already cold. All meals weren't served at the same time. Some of us were almost finished eating by the time others got their food even though we had the exact same order. Everytime we wanted to order drinks we had to go look for our waitress as she didn't check up on us. At least the owner/manager apologized sincerely and gave us a discount on the account. I recommend that Stook improves their service otherwise I don't see them keeping their doors open...
