Memorable Tasting Experience at Blaauwklippen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My sister and I had the pleasure of enjoying a truly outstanding wine tasting experience at Blaauwklippen Wine Estate, and we couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and treated to an informative and engaging tasting led by Gill, who made the experience extra special.
Gill spoke so passionately and knowledgeably about each wine we tasted, sharing the history, unique notes, and characteristics of every bottle with such elegance and clarity. Her enthusiasm and expertise made the tasting not only educational but incredibly enjoyable — we felt like we were part of something special.
We also sampled the Juniper Gin, which was a delightful surprise! Its botanical complexity and smooth finish offered a perfect contrast to the wines, adding an extra layer of excitement to our visit.

Read moreFood was disappointing. The lamb shank is in a tomatoes bredie the tomatoes was over powering and abit sour ...not a good accompaniment for a lamb shank . The meat it self on the lamb was tender though . The calamari was quite dry amd chewy the rice under cooked . The chicken salad had a gre chicken steips and fried on top , had to ask for the salad sauce as they didnt bring it with the salad . The kids meals chicken strips 5each and some chips were the exact same chixken strips on the salad The service was mediocre . Beautiful views and lovely grounds big play areas for kids to play . The outdoor market was nice amd honestly the lamb pie and baklava we bought at the Tunisian stand was better than the food in the restaurant . Some nice stalls outside , leather goods ,ice cream sushi ,etc. The wine tasting was nice and the cheese cake tasting was good . Not a place I would visit again due to the poor...

Unfortunately, Blaauwklippen has been scratched off my list, and I’ve heard that this is a recurring issue for many. For a restaurant and wine farm, providing attentive, friendly, and professional service is essential, and I hope improvements can be made to elevate the guest experience in the future.
My advice -...
