TL:DR Do not go if you're a POC
Another overpriced mom and pops restaurant that tries to justify their terrible service. I knew it was going downhill when we entered the restaurant and the waiters passed my family of four and left us waiting to be seated.
My wife had booked a reservation but that didn't mean anything at this establishment as our table was taken. The waiter attempted to resolve the error by ushering my family to a table in the back. We sat then told the waiters we wanted to see the charming garden in the back. When we returned to our table we were informed that we could not sit there anymore as it was reserved. When we reported the poor service to the manager, we were in shock to hear her justify the appalling service we received. The amount of arrogance she had would make you think that we were not paying customers.
It all makes sense when you consider that there is no competition as they are the only restaurant serving dinner in Scarborough. We ended up driving having dinner in Kalk bay which made the late night...
Read moreFirst time... Ordered a pizza and 2 coldrinks as a take away. Waiter said he will bring our order out to the car, I thought that it is very nice of him.
Waited probably more than half an hour, so I decided to go and see how far the food was. As I came inside my take away pizza was waiting. Some lady assisted me with my order. When I received the pizza it was already cold and my pizza was burned.
I waited for my waiter because I was still waiting for my drinks, when I eventually received my drinks it was hot... (HOT drinks and Cold pizza) I asked if I could speak to the manager on duty. While waiting for the manager I was standing nearby where they make the pizza's. Its horrible, while the lady is busy making the pizza its flies everywhere and not one or two, atleast 10 if not more.
Manager was "on the phone with the boss" so he could not come out to assist me with my problem. So here I am writing this review of poor quality food and a lack of proper service. REALLY DISGUSTED.... WON'T BE...
Read moreStopped for lunch at this lovely little restaurant on a Friday afternoon. It was very quiet as was to be expected on account of the weather and it being in the middle of a week day. The service was efficient and the food was served quite fast after ordering. I enjoyed the calamari whilst my company had the line fish of the day. Both dishes were delicious and ample. There were a few local beers on tap, though not the full range as advertised on the menu. Seating options are available indoors and outside. I can imagine that it would be a lovely gathering place for friends and family on a lovely, sunny, late afternoon after a day spent at the beach or hiking in the beautiful surroundings of Scarborough and beyond. Not handicap accessible. No designated play areas for kids. Pet friendly. Note that the restaurant also sells some lovely art, which is displayed in the...
