I reserve 5-star ratings for places like this. When we walked in I knew from the vibe that this should be the best sushi and seafood restaurant in Somerset West. Possibly the best value-for-money in the Cape. The service was good despite the restaurant being packed. Abel was our waiter and he was friendly and served us well.

The sushi had generous pieces of meat and the rice was perfect in texture which puts Oceans 8 in my top 3 of best sushi ever. The Hake was fresh and well prepared, with the prawns much bigger than expected and prepared even better - firm, but tender.

Food is brilliant. Best seafood, fish and sushi. It is difficult finding something comparable foodwise in Europe.

Only three stars because of space in improvements in hygienic standards especially during COVID times. I talked to the owner several times to install sanitizer in restrooms and providing proper paper towels there. Also proper napkins would improve the longterm restaurant experience. I also recommended to install acrylic glas walls around the sushi bar while people sitting just narrost to the food preparing chefs. The current COVID crisis should give any reason to improve that while the mentioned improvements are minor...
