봉순게장 부천점 — Restaurant in Bucheon-si

Delicious marinated crab that is a local favorite! My friend who lives nearby swears by it and brought me here on a random Saturday late afternoon (around 4.30pm IIRC) and it was surprisingly still packed with patrons! We almost got put on the waiting list but the boss lady managed to find us a seat.

We got a set for 2 at ~₩40,000 and it was so worth it!!! Came with a large plate of the usual soy marinated crabs + 4 pieces of prawn and a smaller plate of the spicy one for a bit of a kick. Plus the usual rice and roe for you to mix into the crab shell like a true local!!! And of course, the crab was exceptionally fresh without a hint of fishiness and so so soft and umami!!! It really can’t get...

This is place is the best restaurant that provides the best marinated crab in town! Even the michelin awarded marinated crab didn’t stand a chance when compared to this place. I’ve been a regulars here since they opened (when they’re still serving all you can eat ganjang gyejang) until their price gone up to 19,000 krw per person. But still it cost cheaper compare to those ganjang gyejang around. ^^ This is a must go place once a month when I lived in S. Korea, and a must visit place (at least twice) during my annual visit to S. Korea after I moved to another country....

The atmosphere is the same as that of ordinary restaurants. There are so many people that you have to wait a little longer and the service is kind. And you can pack the leftover food and take it home. The taste was delicious and not fishy. And the side dishes were delicious. Sanitation is clean. The recommended menu is Bong soon marinated crab.The reason is that you can taste soy sauce marinated crab and spicy marinated...
