자매국밥 — Restaurant in Busan

Loved the healthy and bland taste of the broth. I understood really well how to add and mix flavours to the broth, how to maximise it, and how to maintain the flavour that I want.

My whole experience here in was a very funny and joyful one, as a foreigner who can't really speak Korean on my first visit to Korea.

Some cultural misunderstanding, especially how to take off your shoes and what to do after it. But everything was fun, not intimidating at all. It was a very pleasant visit to this quiet part of...

I have been traveling for almost 16 months now and very rarely give a review. But I have to give this restaurant a rating! I can't recommend it more than enough! The owner is so lovely and warm and the atmosphere in the restaurant is just great!

The food is also super delicious, the portions are very generous and you get a great culinary experience in Korea!

And at a very reasonable price :) We even got a free coke after the meal!...

낮에 동네 구경과 해운대까지 마실 라이딩을 마치고 저녁시간. 자전거를 넣어놓고 민락동 주택가 골목에 자리한 자매국밥을 찾아갔다. 상가 단지가 아니라 주택가이고 이 집도 주택을 개조해서 만든 외관.

신발 벗고 올라가지만 바닥에 앉지는 않고 테이블과 의자가 놓였다. 예전 주택의 모습 그대로 벽과 문, 문틀이 있다. 아직 이른 시간이라 들어올 때는 한산 했고 먹는 동안 손님이 계속 들었다. 손님들은 말투와 차림으로 보아 대부분 동네 분들이신 것 같다.

메뉴판. since 1992 적혀있으니 30년이 넘은 가게. 주류회사에서 제작한 메뉴판이 아니고 나름 깔끔하게 디자인 됐다. 일러스트는 사장님이신 듯? 1번 메뉴인 돼지국밥(9천 원)과 소주(4천 원) 주문.

물 먼저 가져다 주시고, 3분만에 도착한 돼지국밥. 둥근 오봉에 찬과 함께 올려주신다. 음식을 올려주면서 "소주는 대선 주문하셨죠? 챙겨드릴게요." 하고 가져다주심. 옆 테이블에 나처럼 혼자 온 아저씨도 술 먼저 주지 않고 음식과 함께 올려줬다.

기본찬에 차갑게 식힌 간, 허파, 편육을 몇 점 내어준다. 제일 좋아하는 부위인 허파. 찬으로 부속 먹는 재미가 있네.

메뉴에 따로국밥이 있고 주문한 돼지국밥은 밥을 말아서 나왔다. 빨간색과 주황빛 양념장도 올려졌다. 수저로 풀어주면 먹음직스러운 붉은 빛깔로 변하는 육수.

정구지 무침도 듬뿍 넣어서 후루룩, 소주한 잔 똑. 특유의 양념장 맛이 진하다. 된장 고추장 섞인 쌈장 맛도 나고. 밥을 말아서 나오고 팔팔 끓는 뚝배기가 아니어서 훌훌 먹기가 좋다. 돼지고기와 육수는 뚝배기가 넘치치 않을 정도로 푸짐하게 담았다....
