A Horrible Place
The aunties and uncles on the first floor are still the same!!!!
I took a foreign friend there and felt so embarrassed, haha.
I’ve lived in Busan for 30 years. Maybe because I was with a foreigner, they thought I looked like an outsider. They immediately switched to “rip-off mode,” hahaha
Honestly, I was tempted to raise my voice and flip the table, but I didn’t want to embarrass my country in front of a friend visiting from far away. So I held it in and just made the purchase.
We ordered scallops and nakji tangtangi (octopus sashimi). They said they’d include a whole octopus as a service, but then they sneakily took it away, lol And in front of customers, they’re telling someone not to use too much sesame oil? It’s like dealing with my untrained puppy who doesn’t know what’s appropriate or not. The level of service is the same as it was 20 years ago when I first came here with my parents—so nostalgic!
What an amazing Wishing you lots of sales and prosperity for years to come!!!!
Where did I buy, you ask? It doesn’t matter. I went on a weekday at 4 PM, and there wasn’t a single customer. It was clear they were trying to rip off the only person there. It was truly disgusting, haha. Please, don’t come here. Just go eat at a...
Read moreWhat an experience! We arrived on the ground floor and was immediately overwhelmed by the number of stalls of live fish. Once we got our bearings the nice lady at stall 8 recommended we get the sea bass, apparently a popular choice. We paid 40k won for a fish (35k for 1kg), she whacked it and tossed it in a bucket, and she threw in some assorted I-don’t-know-what’s. She handed us a bucket with our newly purchased fish and assorted seafood. She gestured to us to eat on the 7th floor. The 7th floor restaurant was very cozy and lively. We handed our bucket to a waiter and she seated us. She served us a variety of small plates including a traditional plate of silkworm cocoons. For 6k won a person, they will prepare the fish as sashimi. You can dip the sashimi in the peanut sauce, gochujang, and soya sauce. 1kg of sashimi is a lot for 2 people and we were quite sashimi’d out after, but definitely worth the experience. There were no other foreigners there...
Read more사랑해회집(7F) has great service! They were really kind in accommodating us. The B Course (W45,000) has a mixture of great dishes: live octopus, marinated shrimp, eel, sea squirt, several plates of various sashimi, and perhaps a dozen other dishes plus seaweed soup, steamed egg and jjuk. It was literally more than we could eat, and we had to skip...
