Milmyeon is an authentic Busan dish that came out of the Korean War.

When the refugees from the North fled to Busan, they wanted to eat naengmyeon, which is buckwheat cold noodles.

Buckwheat grows in cold climate so the refugees decided to use the flour that the US government gave as an aide and turn it into noodles.
