For reference, I mainly drink Hefeweizen beer (510% ALC, 1020% IBU) Wildcat Brewing is for 5.5%7.8% ALC, 2040% IBU enjoyers only, I visited there today and had a taste of all samples of Wildcat products. And here are the reviews,
PP- 5.6% ALC, 20 IBU - has a bit of fruitiness scent but a tiny bit of imperfect aftertaste, seems because of my taste of Bier. VL - 5.3% ALC, 20 IBU - has a clean feeling but a bit bitter for me. WC - Pretty much high-quality Czech IPA, but gives a twist with the aftertaste. Made me think about that this beer taste could end in another type of way C - Pretty similar to WC but with increased bitterness B - Deep and ends well with the flavor D - Very Tropical, has much flavor of fruits. Starts with fruit, ends with fruit.
Miscancelleous French Fries - Smooth. Very Smooth. Bitterness can be cured with this. But it would become as McDonald's when time passes Chips- Korean Chip No.1
Atmosphere- Pretty good, especially with the two story high ceiling. Does 5-star review and get one...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWildcat Brewing Co. is definitely the place for high quality craft beers. Their award winning beers are a must try when you are Seomyeon, Busan.
There is ample seating available - table or counter. The decor is great and the atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. The music is also awesome. The perfect place for good times.
The staff here are amazing, especially the owner (Dave). He was very knowledgeable about beer and super friendly.
Tried the following beers: Chill Cat Cold IPA, Perfect Pause Pale Ale, Lemonberry Breeze, Victory Lager, Best Coast Hazy IPA, and Bliss IPA. Personally, the Best Coast Hazy IPA was my favourite. I recommend the ordering the āSamplerā - you can try 3 different beers.
They also sell canned and bottled beers to take home.
The food menu is great - reasonably priced and has something for everyone.
The menu is in Korean and English.
The next time Iām in Busan, Iām definitely coming here for a pint or two...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOk, this might be a little long winded because I hope it gets read by the brewer.
I brew beer. I am from Portland. I like beer. A lot. The fact that some of their brews have only won Silver medals is astounding. I wish I could give notes on how to improve, but I cannot. The brewing here is excellent. What the heck won gold?
The Tomato & Ale should be submitted for review. It is novel and impressively balanced. The hint of acidity after the malt body is beautiful.
Brewtang clan is an exemplar of classic pale ale.
My only complaint is that there is an award for best coast IPA in the style of a New England hazy and everyone knows West coast...
