This is Daegu's new, bigger and brighter Costco. It has ALOT more everything than the old Bukgu location. More upscale and that means more expensive (sometimes). Anyone need 6ft Teddy bears?
They carry better quality items and not always the items I was used to like the 25 pack non-antibiotics eggs. Less small family friendly than the Bukgu branch.
Location: it's a lot further for most people on the outer edge of Dong-gu near Gaksan station and the new Innovation Valley. I'll definitely be going there less than before. A long way from the Camp Walker area. Around a 40 min drive from Gate 4. I guess that was the best piece of land and cheapest they could get near Dongdaegu IC.
Food court is ridiculously small for a new location. Probably has less seats than the old branch. Upside is less onion kimchi smells with more space, better...
Read moreThe new facility is designed much smarter. The parking is on the bottom instead of the roof. The other Costco has the vehicles parked above the shopping. This is beyond dangerous. I feel the building moving with the vehicles movement and a disaster is surely awaiting. So be sure to use the new Costco. It is awesome and clean and arranged much better. Lighting is bright and has less escalators. I love my new Costco. Just please institute an English Helpdesk. A place where English speakers can go to get assistance. Also, allow foreigners to register on the website so they can order goods. How can people who are paying members be kept from buying just because they are not Korean. This is...
Read moreI'm from Hawaii, so going to a Costco in another country was very exciting for me! I loved how there was a lot more space in the aisles. The Korean food samples were also a hit with me because they were no skimpy on the portion size! And unlike Hawaii, it's ok to take multiple food samples! Even the food at the food court was so unique to Korea and all items were served on a plate! Even the hot dogs! And there was silverware that was available for use. Also good to know is that Americans can use their Costco cards in Korea! They did have to do some extra checking, but they did it in the time that my items were getting scanned, so I didn't even...
