Aseutta — Restaurant in Gangneung-si

I ordered a bowl of Ragu pasta. From where I’m from, tomato based pasta usually tastes very flat and very bland. Just the taste of tomato overwhelming your mouth. Thus, I expected this to be the same. But I was throughly HUMBLED, by this unassuming bowl of simple pasta. The pasta was cooked to perfection. Al dente. The sauce perfectly coating each flat strand of noodle. The sauce was something I don’t think I’ll be able to describe perfectly. It had chunks of meat and something I believed to be sausage. The combination of a perfect amount of pepper, the juices of the sausage, and a few drizzles of olive oil, elevated the tomato base to something I would confidently deem perfection.

This one of the first few google reviews I have ever left. They only seem to be active on Korean SNS and instagram, and weren’t even aware of the fact that they existed on google maps. The food was amazing! One of the best pastas I have ever eaten. The crab pesto flavour that I ordered was unique and rich in flavour. I completely emptied my plate. The boss was also very friendly and engaged in conversations with us despite the language barrier. There was an event where a complimentary tiramisu was given for customers that write a Naver review, but he gave it to us for free as we had some issues with Naver. Was recommended by my friends to visit this pasta restaurant on my trip to Gangneung. It truly is an amazing experience, easily one of the best pastas I have had, up there with the pasta I ate when I was in Italy.
