복화루 — Restaurant in Incheon

My family and I went to this restaurant as other reviewers had mentioned the food was good. Our experience did not match most others. First, there was a wait list; this is not a problem as this is meant to be a good restaurant, so we figured the wait would be worth it. My family and I were seated in a private room; which was appreciated due to the small size of the restaurant. We ordered several dishes, 양장피, 탕수육, 짬뽕, 짜장면을. The 탕수육 was mostly batter with very little pork inside. Many pieces I ate were only fried batter. All the food was relatively bland and was definitely lacking what was to be expected. We also ordered another dish but they forgot to cook it, so we ended up cancelling that order (lucky for us, we learned the food was not good so it worked out in our favour). On to the price, the overall meal came out to more than 100000 won and we felt quite dissapointed after the meal. 복화루는 몇몇 부평 사람들에게 전통 있는 중화요릿집으로 기억되는 장소 중 한 곳이다.

그리고 여기서의 전통은 고루한 것이 아닌 변치 않는 맛을 기대하는 손님들의 니즈를 충족시키는 긍정적인 의미에 속한다.

젊은이부터 어르신까지 다양한 세대의 입맛을 맞추며 꾸준하게 오랜 세월을 유지하는 식당들을 점점 찾기 힘든 시대에 복화루는 언제 방문해도 기대감을 충족시키는 맛 하나만으로도 칭찬 받을만 하다.

면류, 밥류, 요리들 전부 평균 이상. 심지어 군만두도 맛있다! 직접 빚는 모습은 못봤으나 느끼한 맛의 공장제 만두가 아님.
