And 유 (Yu) Café — Restaurant in Jeju

The owner recently remodeled the restaurant and it's more spacious, especially the kitchen - perhaps that's why the food is even more delicious now! Her food has always been filling and I'm happy to report there's been no change to that at all. The side salad with my quesadilla was delicious with the grilled vegetables on top. Delicious cakes, especially the tiramisu. (And it won't make my stomach hurt because it's dairy-free!) She also has a local produce stand inside that you can buy pesticide-free seasonal veggies from. Highly recommended place for everyone - you don't have to be vegan to enjoy the food.

There are QR codes on the table to order via Naver on your phone but counter ordering is also available for those who need it. She also accepts the local 탐나는 전 card.

The owner is also a long-time advocate for the environment, animal rights, and preserving Jeju's flora and fauna and she is a pioneer in the Korean vegan scene. We're truly privileged to have her...

We drove an hour to have dinner at And Yu Cafe, and it was TOTALLY worth the trip!!! It was a sweet and cozy lil cafe run by an awesome vegan couple! They were so welcoming and kind. The food was absolutely awesome. We had the black bean burgers with salad, slaw (omg so good!), and potato wedges (nom!). My daughter LOVED her green smoothie (My hubby and I snagged a couple sips and it was fantastic!). Our lattes totally hit the spot! For dessert, we all shared a slice of the following: mango cheesecake (total winner), chocolate cake, and a chocolate brownie (yummm)! Sooo good! They also were so kind and offered my daughter supplies to color. Fantastic winner of a place!!! LOVE love...

Delicious 100% vegan place. The owner spoke English and was helpful. There are limited options for no-allium (no onion, no garlic), basically only tempeh burger and tempeh wrap available but they are delicious! There are more options for those who eat onions and garlic. The restaurant mainly serves sandwiches, burgers and vegan cakes (made in house by the owner).

Between us we ordered:

1. Tempeh burger for me (no allium, only vegan mayo and mustard used)
2. Falafel wrap for the husband (contains onions)

Both are delicious. Full of fresh vegetables...
