Lan's Kitchen — Restaurant in Jeju

The auntie owner is vegan herself and wanna spread veganism trough her homely made vegan food. Is giving ver homemade. Like eating at your grandma and mums home. Is hard to find local vegan food in Jeju Downtown. Especially night time. You can take bus from downtown to here and it takes around 1 hour to get here. She closes kitchen at 8pm. I arrived a bit late cause I came to Jeju with plane at the evening. Even she cleaning and preparing to close her restaurant , she served me her deliciously lovely homemade vegan spicy noodle soup. Is very affordable and a huge portion. A must visit place for vegans coming to Jeju. There also Korean barbecue vegan version, Thai food and Vietnamese food in her menu. She’s very cute and friendly and happy person. If you come with many people or she got many visitors please respect her. She’s the only one there cooking. So not for those in a rush and need food immediately . She pay respect of every customers and wants everyone to enjoy her food equally and put her love and heart into...

We ate here 3 times during our stay in Jeju. It was amazing to have authentic Korean food made vegan. The cutlets were crunchy, its accompanying sauce was tangy and cabbage salad was full of flavour. The kimchi fried rice had a great texture and spice level was perfect. The bahn mi was out of this world, and we’re no strangers to them having spent a month in Vietnam!

I’m glad I was able to make it to LAN’s Kitchen on my trip around Jeju Island. I was staying near the Lotte Hotel, and took a taxi that was about 20 minutes from the restaurant, but it was worth it! I tried the grilled Korean barbecue, which I was hoping to find on my trip to South Korea, but this was the only place I found it so far, and it was delicious. A must try for vegans who have never been able to have the traditional grilled barbecue. I also had the skewer bahn mi, and that too was delicious. I highly recommend making it out here when visiting...
