I gave 2 stars for the food, else I wouldn't have given this restaurant any star at all.
Toyally understandable if the waitress who served us cannot speak English, we tried to use Google translator to communicate but somehow failed... she got so impatient she started scolding us in Korean.
Next, we were not allowed to order any other thing from the menu and she pointed at 3 of us and said each of us must order 3 portions of meats/ porks. When we said we can't as it is too much for 3 of us, we wanted 2 portions and order something else like bibimbap or some soups... she raised her voice and kept saying something in Korean and did not allow us to order anything else from the menu.
Then, we said we wanted some beef and she took another beef menu and said we were not allowed to order smaller serving (100g), we must order the big serving - 240g or more... which we thought it's too much. We ended up ordered 3 portions of pork, and to our surprise, she pointed at something else in the menu and signalled us we can order something...
And she burnt our meat while serving us, and then laughed at us. We didn't know what was wrong, we left feeling very full but completely ripped off and...

Apparently this place is one of the more famous black pork kbbq in jeju and when I was there I saw more locals than foreigners so I assume that was a good sign. I did however end up spending 175,000krw on 4 types of meat. It was my cheat day after climbing hallasan. Haha.
If you've not tried black pork before, then you should order it. The samgyeopsal is only 22,000krw and portion is quite big. If you only see a menu for pork, do ask for the beef menu. Their beef is very good as well. I ordered the most expensive 160g for 70,000krw but boy was it good.
The server will help you grill your meat and their service was excellent. I used Google translate to talk to my server and she could understand...
Read moreOur experience at Neulbom Heukdwaeji was marked by friendly and attentive service, with the waitress recommending the pork belly, known as samgyopsal. This cut of meat proved to be a delicious choice, boasting a rich flavor profile that surpassed the pork shoulders. Additionally, we decided to top up our meal with pork ribs, although we found them to be a bit too porky for our taste. We also had the pork skins surprisingly it is delicious.
While the service was commendable, we couldn't help but notice that the restaurant had a somewhat touristy vibe. Nonetheless, this did not detract significantly from our overall dining experience. However, we did find that the portion sizes were slightly smaller than expected.
In conclusion, Neulbom Heukdwaeji offers tasty Korean BBQ black pork options, particularly the flavorful pork belly. Despite its touristy atmosphere and slightly smaller portion sizes, it remains a satisfactory choice for indulging...
