I know food and I have the waistline to prove it. Brix is pretty good, especially considering the prices. My 5-star is reserved for Eldora but Brix is a solid 4 and easy to recommend. The location relative to the Walking Gate is certainly a plus! Probably the biggest drawback are the stairs getting to it. Man alive are they steep! Once you get up there, it's a nice little spot. Friendly workers, well-shaded from the sun, micro balcony, and surprisingly few flying bugs despite the open design. I typically go for the spicy pies. Nice peppery heat, not too bad but I would avoid if you're sensitive to spice. There are typically two working at a time so the wait isn't too bad. However long it takes to make and cook a pizza, that's how long you should expect to wait. Perfectly reasonable. Overall it's a win so stop reading and go...

We had the Riculo Salad, crispy chicken and a Margherita pizza with a blueberry yogurt smoothie and lemon-pomegranate-ade to wash everything down. The salad had a nice balsamic vinaigrette and was very fresh. The pizza was light and flavorful. The drinks were both very tasty and the lemon-pomegranate-ade was very refreshing. The only negative critique that I have was that the chicken was slightly over cooked and heavy, the flavors were good otherwise.
The staff were friendly, the service delightful and the restaurant is clean.

However, I ordered a calzone and what I got was bread that had a honey drizzle that when cut open, was full of cheese. The stuff that was supposed to be on the inside (meat, veggies) was on the outside and it was soupy. So I made my own calzone by putting the soup into the hallow honey cheese bread. It was not the worst thing I have eaten but it was definitely not any calzone I...
