Happy Teriyaki — Restaurant in Pyeongtaek-si

Unhappy Teriyaki! I was so excited to go there after finding them near me.

I went in excited to order it wasn't busy, so we were seated quite fast. After looking over the menu we were ready to order but had questions. We order and the waitress was a little passive aggressive, we asked questions while order and she was muttering I see her past and exclaiming words in Korean, which we just ignored because she was the only waitress there.

We ordered shrimp and chicken teriyaki, shrimp tempera, beef teriyaki, and egg fried rice. We waited almost and hour for our food and decided to just get up and leave, when she saw us getting up she brought our food out. I believe she actually just forgot about our order.

This is were I am disappointed and heartbroken. She brought out our food and it was the worse! My son complained about his rice after looking at it so I decided to try it and prove him wrong, it was disgusting! The food was extra chard and barely luke warm and the egg fried rice had extra extra pepper. We couldn't eat this disgusting food and decided to just leave. We didn't want any issues so we paid full price and decided to never go...

Our experience at this restaurant has always been pleasant. The first time I was here for a baby shower and the service was phenomenal! The other time I was here, we were a party of 30 and though there was a bit of confusion on who ordered what, the food was great and the little Korean woman was so sweet and attentive both times I was there.

Note for vegetarians and vegans: you can definitely eat here and they can cater to your needs, however they do not have tofu. The stir-fried spicy vegetables are extremely tastey though!

Note for my friends who can't eat gluten: The only thing you may want to watch out for is the teriyaki sauce, simply because I'm not 100% sure if they add gluten to it, but I have had no issues with any soy...

The food was good and the establishment has a nice atmosphere. My wife thought she was chewing on cabbage from her entree and realized she was chewing on a piece of plastic about 3-4 inches long. We told the server and she seems we were lying to her. She said she wouldn't charge her for the egg drop soup(which is good).
