The Moti Mahal — Restaurant in Pyeongtaek-si

Had high hopes of coming here since there were good reviews and was really disappointed! Definitely NOT authentic Indian. I got the Special menu set which came with soup (powder and water... who knows what it was), tandoori set (mushroom, lamb balls, 1 shrimp and a chicken thigh and small piece of dark meat), salad, shrimp curry, coffee and mango lassi). Tandoori set was overpowering with Indian seasoning (way too much) so it did not taste good. Salad was made with cheap iceberg lettuce. Shrimp curry had only 3 pieces of shrimp and tasted like Mariana sauce with some heavy whipping cream added. Coffee was not good and the mango lassie was NOT a mango lassie (Greek yogurt with some mango juice). To top it off, I asked for rice and they gave us Korean rice!!! NOT basmati rice which is standard. This place caters towards the locals and is NOT authentic. I’ve had much better authentic Indian food in Germany! I would pass on this place if you are looking for...

Although the food is pretty good, if you want really bad service then this is your restaurant. The last few times I visited this restaurant they forgot my order, gave me the wrong food, and didn't understand simple requests like "I want my tea WITH my food" (they speak good English so it's not a translation issue). This was all done with a bad attitude towards the customer (myself and others) just because you had a complaint that was not your fault. They started out great, but their customer service has really hit a new low today when they told our group to leave, before we were ready to, because there was a group of people waiting to sit down. Again, good food, terrible...

27 March 2018- Wednesday . We went on a weekday evening and the place was almost full !!! I had good expectation for the food.... But the taste was not upto the mark. The samosa had no salt or spice. Mushroom Grill was not having much taste . Tandoori roti was normal . (No parota) vegcurry was ok ok . But curry price of 14k was some what on the higher side for the quantity what they serve. I felt the taste is too custom made for Korean taste and hence lost connection to original Indian flavours. As mentioned by others service needs improvement . We waited for almost 20mins...
