Buenan Sea Snail near Jeju harbor is a truly special spot, celebrating freshly caught seafood prepared by Jeju’s legendary women divers. Their focus on sea snails and fresh sea food gives the menu an authentic, deeply local flavor. We enjoyed the sea snail rice porridge (juk), the sea snail pancake with delicious green vegetables and dipping sauce, and an excellent spread of banchan, with the tiny dried anchovies and kimchi standing out.
The true highlight, though, was the cold seafood soup: fresh abalone (both raw and sliced), tender raw squid, sea snails, and crunchy vegetables like carrot, onion, and cabbage, all served in a chilled, spicy-sweet broth. Refreshing, vibrant, and full of texture, it was the perfect meal for a hot summer day.
