해송식당 — Restaurant in Seogwipo-si

Everywhere along here sold similar food and we tried this seafood store. There were 3 of us but the meals have been big and we wanted to order a meal just for 2. Eventually we managed to convince the boss lady to allow for that and I can tell you the order for 2 is a lot. The set is not cheap as it cost KRW100000 for a set for 2. It came with hair tail sashimi, braised abalone and slices of black pork belly to start with. The pork belly was so good. We were so tempted to order a whole plate of it but resisted as we knew the pain will be huge which it was. The braised cutlass fish came in a long dish that spans 3 portable stoves. There was prawns and abalone in the stew as well. Rice was charged additionally. Nice food....

Fantastic and super fresh Jeju seafood restaurant that specializes in the hair tail fish. Don’t get scared. The fish looks intimidating but they de bone it for you and it is so fresh that it is delicious. I recommend the grilled version (its instagrammable). In terms of the soups, recommend the abalone soup which also comes with ample seafood. We went to this restaurant when it was having a day off. We then ask the owner for recommendations of 해송 near by. She said it is the only one offering 해송 in this neighborhood and also the best in Jeju. She therefore invited us to go in! On a day off! The food and service are absolutely wonderful!
