Bistro Nang — Restaurant in Seogwipo-si

Unfortunately, had no fate with this place.

Tried to first walk in at 8pm but was told this place is on reservations only (they close at 9pm).

Owner chef was really apologetic and asked if we wanted to reserve for the next day instead.

Saw the great reviews online so thought to give it a shot and was honestly really looking forward to ordering quite a lot of the menu and trying the food.

Fast forward to the next day, unfortunately we were caught in a bad traffic situation from a tourist spot (this is on Sunday) and reached about 20 mins late (definitely our fault).

I tried to call in the number listed online but it was an answering machine in Korean so I was stuck.

Was rejected by the chef again as we came late and he had already given our spot to a walk in customer (we assume as he was pointing to a couple while explaining to us).

There was only 1 table filled at that point in time and multiple tables had only been setup for 2 seats when they had 4 but he couldn't accommodate us.

Leaving this review for foreigners to be aware of the difficulty in booking to eat at the place, if you can eat here it seems like it would have been good, but the experience to even get a reservation was honestly...

Service is on the spot: informative, kind, and friendly. The food was delicious. We ordered the pasta dishes - one with fish and one with meat. The flavor was not over powering nor salty, just balanced. The pear and cheese salad (sorry no picture) was the best I’ve had in a long time. The cheese was creamy and the pear was sweet - so fresh. Just went here during our stay in Jeju, came without a reservation but they were still kind enough to let us in and it was absolutely delicious! We ate the margarita pizza, beef ragu and Spaghetti in Shrimp Bisk Sauce, all tasted wonderful, especially the shrimp spaghetti😋. The owner and waiters were also very kind in their service, and the vibe of the restaurant including its music and interior design all cooked🙂‍↕️.
