The Retrieve — Restaurant in Seogwipo-si

Located just one minute from the dramatic coastal Sanbang-highway The Retrieve is housed in a renovated warehouse on the outskirts of the quiet Andeok village.

The deep pastel blue exterior hides a minimalist industrial space divided into a coffee roastery, vintage shop on the first floor and an independent book shop on the second floor. Much of the interior remains in its original factory layout with wall-to-wall windows, high pitched ceilings and exposed concrete pylons.

The Retrieve roast all their coffee beans on site using a Proaster THCR-01 (Korean) small batch roaster. At the time of visiting they had two blends “Island” and “Jewel” alongside two single origins:

2. Brazil Beneficio Pedra Branca Natural Process

The serving station is located in the centre of the room divided into a V60 brewing counter on one side and an espresso machine and grinding area on the back bench (classic lineup featuring La Marzocco Linea*, Mazzer and Mahl Konig EK43 grinders).
