THE BEST SUNGSIMDANG — Restaurant in Seogwipo-si

Was walking in the area and the storefront caught my attention. It is a smallish bakery with tables that have all the baked goods on display which, rightly so, take up a lot of the space inside. There were cakes, breads, donuts, and other desserts. There were also other bread/dough based items such as various sandwiches and pizzas. When I in, I was greeted by one of their friendly staff who gave me a tray and some tongs. I did as others did and walked around from table to table looking at the many different baked goods. Everything was, understandably, written in Korean with the prices listed. I decided to just grab a couple of things and go to the register. I picked up a sandwich and 3 baked desserts. Tagged location is incorrect. We stumbled upon the correct location when looking for the second ranked bakery. Where we found this bakery was actually opposite the another on 48-1 Goseongojo-ro, Seongsan-eup.

Large selection of fresh bakery items from sweet to savoury including breads. Quality is ok - probably look better than they taste. Plenty of free samples.

🍞 제주 성산의 빵 성지, 제일성심당 방문기

매장에 들어서면 고소한 빵 냄새가 가득 퍼지고, 따뜻한 조명과 정갈하게 배치된 진열장이 어우러져 아늑한 분위기를 만들어 줍니다. 가운데 긴 진열대에는 피자빵, 도넛, 크로켓, 토스트 등 다양한 식사빵이 줄지어 있고, 양쪽 벽면에는 선물용 구움과자와 식빵이 가득 진열돼 있어요. 무엇보다 시식 코너가 마련돼 있어 직접 맛보고 선택할 수 있는 점이 여행객들에게 큰 즐거움이 됩니다.

이곳의 시그니처는 단연 당근케이크로, 촉촉한 시트와 은은한 시나몬 향, 크림치즈의 조화가 일품이에요. 또 다른 인기 메뉴인 제주 마늘바게트는 짭조름하면서도 고소해 한 번 맛보면 중독되는 맛을 자랑하고, 추억의 피자빵과 찹쌀도넛은 남녀노소 누구나 좋아할 만한 담백한 맛을 가지고 있습니다. 이외에도 치즈토스트, 양파크림치즈 베이글, 베이컨 또띠야 등 메뉴가 워낙 다양해서 트레이를 금세 가득 채우게 되죠.

가격대도 합리적이라 3천 원대부터 6천 원대까지 다양하게 구성되어 있고, 양이 넉넉해 여행 중 가볍게 즐기기에도 좋습니다. 매장은 포장 전문이라 자리에 앉아 먹을 수는 없지만, 깔끔하게 포장된 빵을 챙겨 성산일출봉이나 우도 여행길에 간식으로 즐기기에 딱이에요.
