Sinchon CAT CAFE Cat’s Loft — Restaurant in Seoul

The Cat Cafe offers a nice quiet cozy place to sit down and enjoy a drink while surrounded by a dozen or so cats. If your lap looks especially appealing, the cats might even help themselves to it for a quick catnap. One part of the Cafe has sort of two floors, with a staircase up to a loft area that acts as a low ceiling to the space beneath it, both of which have access to cushions to sit on and low tables on which to set your drink and laptop. Blankets are provided to cover your lap to reduce cat hair buildup on your clothes as well as make your lap a nicer spot for the cats (the hairless cats seem to prefer the blankets.)

Despite the street being busy and filled with noise on the Friday afternoon I went, the Cafe is remarkably well soundproofed and tranquil. There is a table with chairs along the window overlooking the street if you prefer not to sit on the floor, as well as a few standalone tables with pairs of chairs in the middle of the main area.

Entry to the Cafe when I went was 9000 Won which included a drink. When you enter the first door to the Cafe, make sure to remove your shoes and place them in the cubby and use a pair of slippers provided. There are cabinets in the loft area to place purses/bags/backpacks. There is an establishment WiFi and a bathroom for patrons as well. I would highly recommend this little getaway spot to anyone that appreciates cats and wants a quiet corner...

All of the cats seem really happy and I can tell how much affection the owner has for them. Drinks are good and I think the price is reasonable as well! It takes a little time for the kitties to warm up to you, but eventually they'll get curious about you and come say hi :) I've already been three times, and I'm definitely coming back to see these cuties again! Perhaps the most adorable place in Sinchon! For just ₩10,000, you receive a free drink, and more importantly, unlimited time with all the wonderful cats.
