O Rueiro — Restaurant in A Coruña

What a fantastic find! We went to O Rueiro for lunch and loved it so much that we came back for dinner the same day. The food was delicious —fresh, flavorful and generously portioned. The wine selection was just as great!

The atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The gentleman running the place had amazing energy, constantly pouring wine, rushing behind the bar, and making sure everyone was happy. His enthusiasm and hospitality made the experience even better.

We sat at the bar and ended up chatting with the guests next to us, which only added to the fun. The whole place had a great local feel, far from a tourist trap and it was the perfect spot to enjoy an amazing meal, great wine and a fantastic vibe....

Had a delicious meal with my sister. The older gentleman running the restaurant was very sweet and attentive. Despite our limited Spanish he did his best to check in on us and see how we were enjoying the food. The standouts for me were the Langostinos and Zamburinas. Really great portion size all around. A glass of beer was €2.30 and there was also complimentary bread. We also got the carne asada in tapas size and raciones of Zorza which were also bigger in portion than we expected. This was a wonderful spot to stop for tapas. We spoke very little Spanish, and our server spoke very little english, but they were so welcoming and kind! We had a few small plates, but the stars were the shrimp and octopus. THE OCTOPUS WAS AMAZING! I've never had anything like it, even other octopus dishes.
