Budha Lounge — Restaurant in Alaior

We went to this place many times and always felt great as the food was good and staff were friendly and accommodating. The manager/owner, a short bold guy was not so polite and made us feel very uncomfortable after being rude about us ordering drinks only, he just wanted a food order. Our 2 children opted for pizza and refused to eat anything else so we asked to settle the drinks tab and go elsewhere for pizza, he came with an angry face and start explaining this cost him money , referring to the 1 cent paper he put on the table, so I decided to give him a few cents tips as a reply for his rudeness. He lacks the understanding of tourism and how to deal with it, and if he continue to manage/own this bar, he certainly will be closed soon. Would not recommend this place if this person is present. The location is not bad. Easy to park, very close to the beach, and very nice when there is good, sunny weather. The service is also good and respectful. However, the food is below average. Many things are frozen (samosas, fries, and more) and also they use already prepared food they buy from the supermarket (for example, the veggies come from a can available at Mercadona and Eroski). So they don't cook basically anything. Overall, the location and the service are good, but the food is bad. Good place for having some drinks, but definitely not to eat. I had a really unpleasant experience at this place as one of the waiters (bald, short, thick) very rudely shouted at me in front of everyone as we were late for our reservation. He snapped, disrespected us (8 people who probably had spent €200+) and wouldn’t even listen to what I had to explain. It’s not OK to be late, however I wonder if his manager knew how this person treats the customers, he wouldn’t get another job in this island ever again. I don’t recommend this...
