Casa Andres — Restaurant in Alaior

Visited this restaurant on two occasions in the first few days of our holiday, but it was fully booked, so we booked in advance. It was well worth the wait, the food was amazing, stuffed mushrooms & tomato and mozzarella starters were delicious and the meat paella was lovely. They also had a 'rare ' find in Spain, prosecco on the drinks menu, so we duly washed our meal down with one. Andres the owner, who works in the restaurant too, was charming and attentive. All staff were excellent. Experience was so good we booked for the next evening, our last night, for a chateaubriand experience. Once again the meal was faultless, top draw food, would recommend highly. Best meal in Son Bou, hence it is booked up...

Great food and decent portions for the price you pay. Not a fault with food, however, we were situated nearest the bar and for some reason, that area was inundated with flies. Tables across the restaurant seemed fly free except those nearest the entrances and the bar. A real shame as we found ourselves constantly, and I mean constantly, having flies trying to land on our food. Made for an unsettling eating experience. So much so that we ended leaving before it was all finished and couldn't bring ourselves to attempt dessert. Would have genuinely been a 5 star rating otherwise. Will be resisting during our stay in the hope we can avoid being sat in...

Che dire... Io e mio marito ci siamo stati oggi, non abbiamo preso pesce ma semplicemente un filetto di angus e un filetto di maiale con formaggio di mahon e contorni. Allora faccio parlare le foto, da come potete notare i contorni sono completamente sconditi e a tavola ci hanno portato solo il sale... le patate le abbiamo richieste noi bollite poiché non le volevamo fritte. La cosa che più ci ha disgustato sono le mosche, per carità non é colpa loro perché si sa che con il cibo le mosche accorrono ma ci sono tante soluzioni e trappole per mosche per evitare questo disagio al cliente... siamo stati letteralmente (e non scherzo) assaliti dalle mosche appena i piatti sono arrivati in tavola, ho chiesto alla cameriera di spostarci ma giustamente ha detto che il problema non si sarebbe risolto ma gentilmente ci ha messo una citronella (che non serviva a nulla) a centro tavola. La cosa più bella tenetevi forte è che abbiamo pagato 44€ questi due piatti e una bottiglia da 1,5lt di acqua naturale. Ah lo stuzzichino iniziale ci è stato offerto ma non mi esprimo decidete voi a cosa pensare... il personale comunque é stato gentile. Ma non si può mangiare con le mosche nel piatto? quindi consiglio alla struttura una trappola per mosche. Se guardate le mie recensioni è difficile che sia così critica ma per me il problema mosche è grave! Portano malattie e si appoggiano ovunque e non stiamo parlando di 2/3 mosche perché non sono così supercritica ma di uno sciame. Probabilmente i loro piatti forti sono di pesce (giustamente) ma per i clienti a cui non piace il pesce non si possono dare...
