This was the best food that I had in my one week in Valencia. Incredibly picturesque location and ambience as soon as we arrived, the marina with the mediterranean flowers in bloom, the smell of the sea. There was just one other group dining outside which made it a very nice experience. The host, whom I assume was the owner too, clearly had a sense of humour which was great because it allowed us to relax completely. I cannot remember the exact names of what we had, but to start we had the sardine tostadas and croquetas which were both phenomenal, alongside very fresh bread and olive oil. For the main we went for a choice of fish (there were 3 types, tuna being one of them but I forgot the other 2). We shared a type of white fish (I forgot the name). It was served in a dish of oil, herbs and delicious vegetables. For dessert we had the horchata option, being in Valencia of course, we had to go for that. Of course this was excellent too. My only regret is we didn't come back here another night to try the paella dishes. Fantastic food and service, if I visit Valencia again, I will come here straight from...
Read moreGoing to just leave a review as I’m in the service industry myself and didn’t like how we were treated. My mum wanted to book reservations, she was made wait while two people slowly walked around making coffees. It looked like they had just made her wait as she was a tourist. They could’ve definitely helped her sooner but made her wait a long time. They seemed so uninterested and totally unbothered, no smiles no greeting. By the time my mum asked a few questions about the food, she was trying to speak Spanish and the guy was just staring at her and almost rolling his eyes. She then looked at the menu for less than 5 seconds and he said to her in a rude way, take a photo of the menu. Meaning hurry up and go away pretty much. My mum thought he was so rude and we ended up walking away and not booking. If you are a tourist and speak English just be wary of how you will be treated. Also the restaurant menu was only in Spanish, so I don’t think they want tourists there. The guy seemed extremely stuck up as if we weren’t good enough...

After living in Valencia for over a year and trying many arroz / local restaurant, there is no doubt in my mind that Trencabeach serves the most delicious and authentic meals of any other restaurants.
We have already been back twice. Both times eating the arroz meloso as we prefer the creamier texture compared to the classic drier/crunchier arroz. The ingredients are absolutely of the highest quality and everything is cooked and prepared with care and attention to detail.
We highly recommend the tostas and the arroz de pulpo although I’m confident that every item in the menu is Devine.
We also had the tarta de queso which was also just as tasteful as the entrantes and arroz. Sweet but also cheesy, warm and soft. It is not a basque or New York style cheesecake, but an original style with even texture in which it seems as the cream is mixed /battered with a cereal/biscuit base....
