A good restaurant with really great food! We were in the late evening and the restaurant was mainly empty. The food came fast and was served well. The octopus in 3 textures was delicious. Fresh dorada was good as well but rice with lobster had an unusual flavor pairing that didn't feel right. The lobster tasted fresh. The fish was cleaned by the waiter in front of you and the lobster was split into parts right before serving, which was a nice touch.

The desserts were all great, especially the cheesecake and chocolate cake. The wines were good.

The staff was friendly and polite and spoke English.

First visit to La terraza mesón: langostinos pil-pil as a starter which was very tasty without any frills, for the main course, slow-cooked lamb, unfortunately, was cooked for too long (or reheated?) and therefore dry and dull, as was the potato gratin. I really have to write to say what a fabulous experience we had here. The newest restaurant in Almuñecar furnished to create a relaxing atmosphere for a memorable time with friends.
