Fantastic first dinner experience in this beautiful town at an equally wonderful restaurant. No pressure to take a table while looking at the menu, but kindly welcomed when we decided we would like to stay. Great location with plenty of outdoor seating and amazing views of the town and surrounding countryside. Our waiter was patient with our poor Spanish and was happy to repeat things to help us practise, learn more about each other (him having family in England where we're also from) and creating a warm, welcoming experience for the two of us. To top it all off, the food was exquisite and the 25 euro 3 course menu option (with glass of wine and bread) was an absolute bargain! We'll be back again tomorrow night. Thank you! EDIT: Visited again tonight and was so lovely to receive a warm welcome like old friends. The Cannelloni was the star of the show for me, and it was truly beautiful to bridge the language barrier with our limited Spanish and the help of Google translate. Manuel we hope to meet you...
Read moreExtremely poor customer service!!! We are staying in town, a group of five of us, for two nights. We hiked all day today. Then we stopped by to have coffees & beers and we were going to decide if we may want food. The tables were all empty outside except for one with four guests. As soon as we told the young woman we would start with just drinks (we were to decide if we wanted any foods later) she told us they would not serve us drinks unless we ordered food right away and they would not serve us. So completely RUDE!! I’ve lived in Spain for 6 years now, travel all over the world and NEVER get told we are not welcomed when there were multiple tables open and available. I definitely recommend to not give them...
Read moreI've read some bad reviews. They must've upped their game since.
We arrived without reservation after being turned down by two other restaurants nearby.
They gave us a table with a great view.
Prices were on the medium to low end of the zone and the quality was very good. We had the Asado de Ternasco and the Caldereta, both were very well prepared. The potato chips with parsley olive oil were particularly good and worth a mention.
Service was friendly but spotty, they had a very large table just before us.
Bottom line: Skip the other more famous places...
