We had the pleasure of dining at the Aromatic Hotel restaurant two evenings in a row. The first evening, we ordered an ice cream for our daughter — what we received was, well, let’s just say it was an avant-garde reinterpretation of dessert. I’ll let the photo speak for itself. After all, when you’re paying €25 for a steak, you certainly expect the ice cream to look like it came straight out of… a school cafeteria, at best.
The second evening, we took a bold step and ordered a fruit salad for dessert. A risky move, as it turns out. They simply forgot to bring it. We waited a while, but eventually gave up — you know, some people don’t have two hours to spare for a forgotten bowl of fruit.
As for the service? Truly unforgettable — as in, you’ll spend 10 to 15 minutes sitting at your table being thoroughly ignored, while 2 or 3 staff members drift aimlessly around the terrace like ghosts. Charming.

We visited this town recently and as a vegetarian I was excited to have found Aromatic. The food was great overall. Great selection for vegetarians and really nice fusion of different cuisines. Also, the terrace is quite cute and really nice for a cosy evening. Unfortunately the service was not great. The female server who took our order was in a hurry. Instead of greeting us and/or being friendly she came up to the table and said “ustedes dirán”. This is a way of saying “go ahead”. Additionally, she took our order incorrectly and we were brought out incorrect dishes and drinks (because she was in a hurry). The restaurant was not busy at all, and the rest of the wait staff was great. It’s a shame that one person can change the experience one has, but service is always the most important. Hoping Aromatic can remedy this so that their future patrons can have a 5...

Despite the restaurant being almost empty, it took over 10 minutes to get the attention of the staff, who were standing together chatting by the bar. When our waitress finally arrived, she seemed unfamiliar with her own menu. Our drinks also took 10 minutes to arrive, even though there were only four tables occupied in the whole place.
The beer had sediment in it, clearly from the tap not being properly cleaned. One of the kids’ pasta dishes even had a hair in it. The taste of the food was quite average at best. The fried eggplant was honestly the worst I’ve ever had. Although the seabass was good, the octopus was nothing special.
Overall, the restaurant left a disappointing impression. There are several much better places nearby, especially by the sea—I recommend visiting them instead and...
