Bar Bernia — Restaurant in Altea

Really love this little casual spot. The owners are super nice and helpful. They offer some seasonal specials so definitely check out the specials board. The food is very flavorful. It is located across the street from a big parking lot for Altea La Vella.

New owners since July, now "Bar Bernia".It is again a "bar del pueblo" where the locals hang out. Wonderful Tapas, prepared fresh daily. Local produce, Meats from the Argentinian butcher around the corner. Cold beers on tap, nice selection of wines. reasonable prices, large rations. Quiet, friendly cozy place. Fast internet. Spanish, English and French spoken....

We had a small luch here, we asked for a drink menu, they said they didint have one, after asking for a lemonade they brought a fanta without saying a word. Its not a spanish resaturant, rather a dutch one with dutch prices. Overall...
